FORMER Home Secretary Suella Braverman has backed Rishi Sunak in the race to become the UK’s next prime minister.

Writing in The Telegraph, Braverman said that while Boris Johnson was “one of our most significant prime ministers in history” the only candidate capable of putting “our house in order” was the former chancellor.

She said: “People are worried about their livelihoods, how they will afford their bills and mortgages.
