Expansion taking shape
The Anfield Road expansion is coming along nicely after new footage emerged.
Drone footage taken on Wednesday showed an update on the work being done which will see Anfield increase it's capacity by 7,000 to take it up to 61,000. It is the third expansion project under FSG after the £110m Main Stand increase in 2016 and the opening of the £50m AXA Training Centre two years ago.
The cost of the project was initially thought to be £60m but due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has now risen by a third to £80m.

Suarez staying in Europe
Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has given a major update regarding where he will be playing his football next season.
The Uruguyan was released by Atletico Madrid at the end of last season and at 35, it was rumoured that he would be leaving Spain to ply his trade in Argentina with River Plate. But with River Plate out of the Copa Libertadores, Suarez has said that he will no longer be joining them and he could now be staying in Europe.
“A month and a half ago I declared that I was not going to leave Europe, but River insisted and insisted so much that I came to consider that possibility," Suarez told Uruguayan news outlet El Pais. "As much as one says something, when the time comes you will consider it. You are excited that they love you so much. A player needs to see affection."
