Angel Di Maria has doubled Argentina's lead against France in the first half of the World Cup final. The Juventus star won a penalty which was then converted by Lionel Messi, before finishing off a brilliant team move to make it 2-0.
Les Bleus need a huge turnaround in their performance if they are to lift the World Cup once again as they did four years ago in Russia. Messi is hoping he can lead his nation to a historic World Cup win after missing out in Brazil eight years ago.
Whilst the focus is mainly on two Paris Saint-Germain stars Messi and Kylian Mbappe, it's Di Maria who is catching the eye with yet another big game performance. The Argentinian winger was seen with tears in his eyes after he doubled his nation's lead over France as Les Bleus look lost for ideas.

Di Maria missed the 2014 World Cup final through injury after his club at the time, Real Madrid, requested for the winger not to be risked. This may have been a catalyst for his impressive display against France this evening as he looks to make amends after missing out eight years ago.
