Which Carolina Panthers showed up and which shied away on Sunday afternoon?
Here are our studs and duds from the Week 12 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
Stud: RB Chuba Hubbard
Whatever offense the Panthers did muster up, Hubbard was on the end of a lot of it. The third-year back rushed for 45 yards and the team’s only touchdown while reeling in five balls for 47 receiving yards.
Dud: RB Miles Sanders
Sanders wasn’t as productive. While he earned the lion’s share of carries, recording 15 attempts to Hubbard’s 14, he turned it into only 28 yards.
Dud: WR Adam Thielen
Surprisingly, Thielen was at the very bottom of the receiving list for Carolina—as he notched just one catch for two yards over three targets. The Tennessee defense, wisely so, made it a point to cut out quarterback Bryce Young’s safety net.
Dud: LT Ikem Ekwonu
Ekwonu had another hiccup in pass protection. He was routinely run off the edge by the Titans and had quite the hand in Young’s four sacks on the afternoon.
Stud: DT Derrick Brown
Brown continued his standout season, chalking up five tackles and a pass defensed. He is now seven tackles away from tying his career-high of 67 tackles from a year ago.
Stud: OLB Brian Burns
Burns recorded his team-leading sixth sack of the campaign. He finished with two quarterback hits and two tackles for a loss.
