Strictly star Jayde Adams is 'luckiest girl from Bristol' and loves life on the show

Jayde Adams said she is literally living the dream as the self-confessed Strictly Come Dancing super fan spoke about how much she loves being on the show. The comedian from Bedminster was on tonight's (October 6) episode of Strictly - It Takes Two as the remaining couples prepare for movie week.

The 37-year-old, who looked gorgeous in a purple suit tonight, is doing a Cha Cha Cha to Flashdance's 'What A Feeling' with Karen Hauer on Saturday (October 8). Discussing being on the show in general, Jayde described herself as the "luckiest girl from Bristol" because of her love for the show, even joking with host Janette Manrara she will "get it on a t-shirt" and put it on her gravestone.

Last week, Jayde and Karen, the pair scored 26 points, giving them a combined total of 49 from the first two dances. However, they said they will be "upping" their game for this week's show, with Jayde describing it as "wild".

Jayde discussed the pair's performance last weekend, saying: "I absolutely loved all of the drama. It's an unknown secret how much I love tango, and getting to do it as well and having a really cool storyline with it, I thought, and I don't want to toot my own trumpet- that it was really fresh."

Talking about the importance of taking the lead in last week's routine, she continued: "That was very important especially with our all women partnership. It's important that when I do take the lead in our partnership that I show the sort of similar strengths I have seen other men lead on the show.

"I'm a big fan of the show- get it on a t-shirt and get it on my gravestone. I am really happy where we are and we have so much more to bring and I know what we are doing this week. It is going to be wild."

When asked about her love for the show and being part of movie week on Strictly, she said: "It's another one of those moments where I ain't got to think about it too much else I will start crying. I need a tally about the amount of times I get emotional over things that happen on this show.

"It's wild the amount of cool ideas, songs and dances that I get to do - and now I get to do movie week. I am the luckiest girl from Bristol."

Talking about what to expect from this week's episode, Karen said: "Everything. We have legs, we have splits, the Cha Cha Cha, hair, leg warmers, sweat bands and leotards.

Jayde added: "It is going to be quite the image of the two of us doing flash dance which is one of the best dance movies ever made."

Earlier today, Jayde uploaded this photograph on her Instagram of the pair during rehearsals this week. The image showed her and Karen sitting in a pose mocked up to look like a scene in Flashdance.
