An early-morning workout on live TV took a chaotic turn this morning when Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara accidentally kicked a dog in the head.
BBC ’s Morning Live viewers were stunned as the daily weekday drew to a close this morning (Tuesday), thanks to a special canine guest getting an unexpected boot to the head.
It Takes Two host Janette, 38, and Aljaž Škorjanec joined hosts Sam Quek and Gethin Jones for the daily workout on live TV but things didn't quite go to plan.
Pups Dolly and Ollie had been special guests on the BBC show throughout the latest episode - spending most of the broadcast lying calmly on the floor and behaving themselves.
Dancer Janette even shared a few snaps of herself with the adorable pooches on her Instagram Stories - captioning a clip of TV vet Dr James Greenwood petting one of the dogs: "Love at first cuddle."
Towards the end of the show, it was time for the daily workout - with Dolly trying to get in on the action.
"This week we are celebrating Glastonbury and today we’ve got [Aljaz] and Sara’s move," Janette began on the BBC show.
"Yes we have, our move from the Cha Cha Cha and a quick little story this is one of the few times on Strictly Come Dancing that I completely forgot what I was doing so this is a redemption for me."
Janette and Aljaz then went on to close the show, with the former Strictly Come Dancing professional spinning his wife around on the makeshift dance floor.
Unfortunately it was at this point Dolly had tried to get involved in the daily dance - getting an accidentally kick to the head as Janette's legs spun in the air.
Gethin could be heard yelling Dolly's name moments before the unfortunate incident, seemingly in an attempt to prevent the collision.
The presenter wasn't the only one with his eye on Dolly and Janette's feet.
"Did anyone just see Janette Manrara boot that dog in the head on #MorningLive while Aljaz was spinning her around," one Twitter user asked after the show aired on Tuesday morning.
"obsessed with janette manrara booting a dog in the head on live telly," another mused, with a third captioning a clip of the moment: "Well, that’s one way to end a programme."
Dr James - who regularly appears on the BBC show - took to Twitter himself to reassure viewers Dolly was fine and well after the accident.
"Aww, yeah - she’s absolutely fine thank you, no harm done," the vet replied to a concerned fan, going on to add she was enjoying a "chew stick on our way home now!"
Replying to another worried viewer Dr James confessed Dolly likes to get some screen time on the daily show, writing: "Just to reassure you she is completely fine! Just loves getting a little too involved at times [covered-eyes emoji]! All is well."
