Giovanni Pernice has no plans to leave Strictly Come Dancing - amid rumours he was going to quit the show.
The much-loved Strictly Come Dancing professional was partnered with Richie Anderson during this year's series of the BBC One Latin and ballroom show, but unfortunately the pair were booted out of the competition during last weekend's Movie Week.
Giovanni and Richie's final dance was a Samba to The Lion King's Hakuna Matata.
Sources have now revealed to The Mirror that Giovanni won't be leaving Strictly after this series after reports emerged, adding the dancing champ plans to be on the show for "many more years" to come.
A source exclusively told The Mirror amid rumours of Giovanni quitting the show: "This is the show which made Gio's dreams come true. Gio loves Strictly and looks forward to many more years on the show dancing and entertaining."
Giovanni has also taken to social media to insist he "isn't going anywhere" amid reports he wanted to quit the show after feeling he was "wasted" this year.
The dancer triumphed during last year's series, coming in first place alongside Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Giovanni has become a fan favourite since he joined the show in 2015.
Rose and Giovanni received wide acclaim for their beautiful dances over the series, including a special moment in one of their dances where they danced alongside 10 seconds of complete silence to raise awareness of the hardships felt by the deaf community.
Giovanni had been subjected to feud rumours with his celebrity partner Richie, but he hit back at the rumours during an appearance on It Takes Two previously, insisting the pair got on very well together.
"We are having a good, we're definitely having a good time. Obviously it's a dance competition at the end of the day so we have to learn something," Giovanni insisted as he looked straight down the camera, "But there is no problem. Where is the camera? There is no problem between us, we are having a good time. So forget about what you are writing, it's not true."
Richie had spoken in the past about his pride on being partnered with Giovanni.
"They actually gave me the option," he said. "They rang me up and they said, 'We want you to be on Strictly this year' - I ran off screaming and they were like, 'Can you come back to the phone?' They went, 'We're booking you for you, so it's up to you whether you want to dance with a female partner or a male partner.'
"I spoke to my partner Dean and this year is our 10 year anniversary and we have to - for our 10 year anniversary - it's the 50th anniversary of Pride this year as well - we have to dance with a man."
