Helen Skelton has revealed that her feet have been left 'bloodied and bruised' in Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals as she prepares for this weekend's second live show. But she's determined to soldier on as she told fans 'no pain, no gain.'
One of the most talked about stars on this year's Strictly line-up, Helen edged out rival Fleur East to be bookies' favourite to win ahead of her live show debut last weekend, having previously been the focus of 'fix' claims from critics, over her tap dancing experience as a child. Helen is paired up with Gorka Marquez, who reached the final of Strictly in 2020 alongside Maisie Smith and the couple opened their account with an America Smooth on Saturday night, earning them a score which put them in the middle of the leaderboard.
AS Helen and Gorka spoke to Claudia Winkleman, Gorka hinted that she'd been struggling with her confidence, with it then being reported that Helen fled rehearsals through a fire exit, before he talked her into returning. This weekend, Helen and Gorka will dance a cha cha cha to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande number one hit Rain on Me and Helen has clearly been ge5tting stuck into training as she took to Instagram to reveal her feet were 'in bits.'

Giving her growing number of followers a candid look at her bloodied and bruised feet by posting a photo of them on her story, the ex Blue Peter presenter wrote: "And the aim of the game is to be sexy... not with these trotters." She defiantly added: "nopainnogain."
Helen then uploaded a photo of her and Gorka in the dance studio, writing: "Feet on fire and head exploding but loving every second of this journey… somehow @gorka_marquez finding time to prank everyone - thank god there’s room laugh . It’s been a big old week of training so far and still a lot to do ….. here’s to the feet and hips doing what the boss says."
Helen sharing her Strictly war wounds come as it's being reported that Hamza Yasim, who finished joint top of the week one leaderboard along with Will Mellor, has been left in pain during rehearsals due to a pre-existing knee injury.
And, after this week's Strictly songs and dances were released by the BBC, many fans predicted that former Two Pints of Lager star Will will be up at the top of the rankings again on Saturday night, with the reveal that he and professional partner Nancy Xu will be dancing a salsa to Luther Vandross classic Never Too Much.
