Anton Du Beke has come under fire a Strictly Come Dancing decision as he went against the view of all his fellow judges in trying to save Kym Marsh from going home. The former Coronation Street actress has become the latest star to leave the show after she ended up in the bottom two alongside Molly Rainsford.
Anton is a permanent judge on the BBC show for the second series in a row and for this week's quarter final, the theme was musicals. Just six couples remained in the competition and Kym Marsh was one of those who fell into the dance-off, Chronicle Live reports.
The dance-off sees the two couples performing one more time, with the decision on who stays in the competition solely down to the judges. There are four judges in the competition, made up of Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

As the head judge, Shirley has the casting vote if disagreement ensues between the other three and this was the case on the show last night (December 3). Craig and Motsi both wanted to save Molly, but Anton opted to save Kym.
Shirley used her casting vote to send Kym home, but many Strictly fans took to social media to say that the decision shouldn't have gone to the wire as it did. One user wrote: "is anton genuinely okay?? kym was good but molly was 100x better"
Taking their frustration further, another critic fumed: "What the hell was Anton thinking, I'd vote him off, right off that judge's panel for that bloody decision to save Kym over Molly, thankfully the other judges had better sense."
