Ahead of tonight's BBC Strictly Come Dancing results, soap star Rose Ayling Ellis has announced that she's taking a break from social media. The Eastenders star competed on Strictly Come Dancing last year and won the Glitterball trophy with her Italian pro dancer, Giovanni Pernice.
BirminghamLive reports that on Instagram, Rose said: “One year ago! Good luck to all the couples tonight. It is such a wonderful feeling. I will watch it on iPlayer tomorrow because I am performing tonight. Turning off social media because I’m going to do my very best to avoid spoiler!”
Giovanni Pernice has also spoken about Stricley' final on Instagram, writing: “That indescribable feeling! Today @rose.a.e and I pass our crown of reigning champions to another incredible couple.. and believe me when I say that everyone deserves to win!
"Good luck and please remember to vote for your faves… we all do have faves… and thanks to all of you for supporting and watching another series of @bbcstrictly!!" Gio signed off by saying: “There is no show without you, always grateful to be part of this incredible family.”
Tonight, finalist Hamza became tearful after making a few devastating mistakes in one of his dances. Meanwhile Shirly Ballas said there was no score high enough for Fleur East's samba, while Craig added: "You smashed that samba. I always had Danny Mac in mind with the samba, but you're the queen!"
