During a recent livestream, streamer Durpee82 had a very surprising moment on his channel. He has a wheel on his stream that can give prizes to viewers. One spin landed on “fly a viewer out to BlizzCon,” which is a very rare prize. The chance of hitting it was only 0.31%, or about 1 in 323 spins. Durpee82 accepted the result and promised to cover the trip for the lucky winner.
BlizzCon is a big fan convention in Anaheim, California, held by Blizzard Entertainment. It has games, competitions, panels, and special merchandise for fans. Normally, attending BlizzCon costs a lot of money. Tickets alone are over $200, and hotels nearby are expensive. If you add flights and food, the total can go up quickly. This makes the prize very valuable, even though it happens by chance on a wheel spin.
