Stocks were largely unchanged on Wednesday after a new report showed inflation remained sticky in July and traders waited for Nvidia's results and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's address in Jackson Hole.
The S&P 500 edged down 0.02%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite did so 0.08%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average underperformed, dropping 0.21%.
