Indian equities ended lower on Wednesday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.50% and shifted its policy stance from neutral to calibrated tightening. The Nifty 50 ended at 22,603.05, down 173.05 points, or 0.76%. The 22,800 level continues to be the key hurdle, with a sustained move above it required to strengthen the recovery and open the way toward 23,000, according to Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
Against this backdrop, Adani Enterprises, Ola Electric, HCL Tech, Tata Power, Varun Beverages and several other stocks are likely to remain in focus on Thursday following key corporate developments and business updates.
