Indian benchmark indices extended their losing streak to a fourth consecutive session on Thursday, reversing early gains as selling pressure intensified amid a fresh breakout in Brent crude oil prices above $95 a barrel and continued geopolitical tensions. The Nifty 50 fell 0.17% to settle at 23,873, while the Sensex declined 0.55% to close at 76,152.
The Nifty 50’s immediate bias remains negative, with sustained trade below 24,025 potentially opening the way for a decline towards the key support zone of 23,800-23,600, coinciding with the previous major gap area and the July 2026 low, according to Pabitro Mukherjee, Deputy Vice President-Research, Bajaj Broking.
