  • Speaking at the London premiere of his latest sci-fi thriller, Disclosure Day , Spielberg told the BBC: “There’s a lot of mystery and things that are undisclosed but I have become more optimistic that people are going to be able to discover things that we have not been allowed to discover.”
  • Disclosure Day , set to be released on 12 June, stars Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor, and revolves around a government conspiracy that threatens to change human history forever.
  • Blunt said she hoped confirmation of extraterrestrial life would leave people “astonished, humbled and awestruck”.
  • Early critical reviews for Disclosure Day have been positive, with some hailing it as “Spielberg’s best film in 20 years”.
