Steven Davis has paid tribute to Rangers legend Allan McGregor as he admitted: 'I've 'been through it all with this man'.
The Light Blues hero has left the club after two hugely successful spells at Ibrox. He was a key player over both stints and tasted multiple trophy success while also playing at the highest level in the Champions League and the Europa League Final.
The 41-year-old was given a huge ovation from the Ibrox support in the final home match of the season against Hearts in what proved to be his final competitive game in a Rangers jersey. He will be back in Govan later this summer when he faces English Premier League outfit Newcastle United for his testimonial, but in terms of his career at the club that chapter has now officially closed.

Davis spent many years alongside McGregor and has struck up a close bond both on and off the pitch as he took to social media to hail the man who 'pulled off big saves in big moments'.
Uploading a collage of pictures containing the duo with the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and personal awards, the Northern Ireland international wrote: "Been through it all with this man, unbelievable career at our boyhood club, continually pulled off big saves in big moments.
"Been great to share a large part of the journey with you @greegsy1."
McGregor is one of five players to depart with contracts expired including Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent, and after the clash with Hearts boss Micheal Beale said: “It was nice for the boys to get the send off that they deserved. The fans were absolutely outstanding, and I’m super proud of them for the way they showed their respect to the players.
"It will live with those five players for a long time, and they realise that this club is not a normal club.
“It’s quite an emotional dressing room. You make these decisions and then in these moments it becomes very real for them and their families. They’ve all been outstanding, and they’ve been fantastic to work with.
"They’ve been a huge credit to themselves and the football club, and we wish them well. They’ll always be welcome back at Ibrox and you can see that from the reception they got this evening.”
