Garvey believes that Schiff's suggestion does not go far enough and has called for President Biden to resign immediately for the benefit of the nation.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Garvey emphasized that the current governance under President Biden is facing unprecedented international threats, pointing to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war and the Israel-Hamas conflict as examples. Garvey stated that the failure to demand Biden's resignation puts Americans at risk both domestically and abroad on a daily basis.
On the other hand, Rep. Adam Schiff has expressed concerns about the potential implications of a second Trump presidency, stating that it could undermine the foundation of American democracy. Schiff also raised doubts about President Biden's ability to defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
The upcoming November election will see a showdown between Schiff and Garvey as they vie for the California Senate seat previously held by the late Dianne Feinstein.
