Steph Curry on why Game 4 in Boston is his favorite game of his career

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has played in many important games in his career. He has two MVPs and four league titles to his name along with being the greatest shooter in NBA history.

There was talk about the Warriors not being able to win the 2021-2022 championship because Klay Thompson was coming back from two major injuries and Draymond Green only played in 46 of 82 games. Even though Golden State’s record was good throughout the season, the NBA was looking to other teams, such as the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks, to win it all.

All of this and more was on Curry’s mind for Game 4 of the NBA Finals and he explained to the “Old Man and The Three” podcast just how the outside noise made him feel:

“So game four is like, one you know how big the game is. You lose that game. Well first off, we were already, according to ESPN, 84% underdogs in the Finals. So now go down 3-1, you might as well not even play after that. So you know how big the game is. But then you get into the first quarter and we’re already down 12-4 or something like that. We slowly gain some momentum. I think we’re down. I hit that one shot and I started like yelling at the crowd. I was like ‘this is gonna be a different (expletive) game’. I was just unleashing a different level of like, I’m here. We’re here and y’all ain’t just gonna have this, go count the parade already in terms of 19,000 people seem to be in unison with what they were saying every single possession like it was like we’re here and we’re gonna respond.”

The Warriors went on to win Game 4, 107-97, and won the series over the Celtics, 4-2.
