When the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, Pittsburgh should have some matchups they can exploit in the passing game. The Cardinals have ruled out starting outside cornerbacks Antonio Hamilton Sr. (groin) and Starling Thomas V (ankle) for this week’s game.
We saw the Steelers passing offense come alive last week with Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan in charge and this should continue against a hobbled Cardinals secondary.
Arizona will start Marco Wilson and rookie Kei’Trel Clark this week. Pittsburgh has George Pickens and Diontae Johnson on the outside and can take advantage of these mismatches on the outside. But where this should really benefit the Steelers is on the inside with guys like wide receiver Allen Robinson and tight end Pat Freiermuth. The bottom of the Cardinals depth chart takes a big hit with these injuries and we saw Pickett attack the middle of the field with Freiermuth last week.
