The Rams are trading wide receiver Allen Robinson to the Steelers pending a physical, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports.
In his first season with Los Angeles last season, Robinson played in 10 games and totaled 339 yards on 33 catches with three touchdowns. Robinson has two years left on a three-year deal he signed last offseason, and he is due $15 million guaranteed.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Los Angeles is also sending a pick No. 251 in the draft to Pittsburgh and getting back just pick No. 234. Additionally, the Rams will pay $10.25 million of Robinson’s contract, while Pittsburgh will pay $5 million.
Robinson began his career with the Jaguars and broke out in 2015, posting a career-high 1,400 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns en route to his only Pro Bowl appearance. After four years in Jacksonville, Robinson signed with the Bears and recorded two more 1,000-plus receiving-yard seasons in Chicago.
Last year, Robinson signed with the defending champions but struggled to stay healthy throughout the year. Los Angeles put Robinson on injured reserve in late November due to a foot injury, and statistically, Robinson had the worst season of his career.
