Pittsburgh Steelers starting tight end Pat Freiermuth suffered what appeared to be a leg injury midway through the third quarter against the Houston Texans. Freiermuth was able to leave the field under his own power but headed straight to the locker room.
Rookie Darnell Washington and second-year tight end Connor Heyward will replace Freiermuth in the lineup. Last season, Freiermuth was among the top tight ends in the NFL but like the rest of the Steelers offense this season, Freiermuth has been lackluster so far this year.
