For the first time since 2009, the Pittsburgh Steelers head into an offseason without the leadership of Kevin Colbert. Omar Khan has replaced Colbert as general manager and is already scouting potential prospects for the 2023 NFL draft.
The HBCU Legacy Bowl and Combine are in full swing this week and they posted the pic below showing Khan scouting prospects as they prepare for the game.
Khan took over for Colbert after the 2022 NFL draft so this will be his first draft under his control. Pittsburgh also added assistant general manager Andy Weidl who was formerly with the Philadelphia Eagles. Khan has been the salary cap guru of the Steelers for many seasons and Weidl is an expert on roster building so the two should work well together.
The HBCU Legacy Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, February 25 and will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
