With three weeks to the 2023 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to bring in potential prospects for pre-draft visits. According to Steelers beat writer Ray Fittipaldo, one of those in for a visit on Thursday is Oregon cornerback Christian Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is one of three or four cornerbacks making a case to be the first off the board in the first round. In terms of diversity, there isn’t another cornerback in this draft who fits in more different types of schemes than the former Oregon star.
Pittsburgh lost cornerback Cameron Sutton to free agency. They did sign Patrick Peterson as a short-term solution but the team needs to add a young player to prepare to take over the starting job.
Steelers top-30 visits on Thursday: OL Steve Avila of TCU, CB Darius Rush of South Carolina, DE Keion White of Ga. Tech and CB Christian Gonzalez of Oregon.
