The Prime Minister has said he is “beyond frustrated” with the prisons overcrowding crisis as the new Labour Government prepares to free more criminals early.

The Government is expected to announce emergency measures on Friday to ease the crisis, after Sir Keir Starmer described the problem as “beyond what I imagined”.
