A stalker told his former partner that he would "chop her son up and bring him back in bits" - and cut her cat's head off. John Parvin also said he would stab his victim's new boyfriend and burn down her house.
Parvin, who a court heard had a history of abusing former partners, also told her to hurt herself, knowing that she had a history of suicidal thoughts. Liverpool Crown Court was told on Monday that Parvin had known Katie Herridge, 33, "for many years".
They had lived opposite each before beginning a relationship, which lasted from November 2020 to April 2021. They remained friends "on cordial terms", the court heard, for a short time. Parvin - from Ellesmere Port - entered a new relationship, but issues arose when Ms Herridge did likewise, reports the LiverpoolECHO.
