Bus services across Ayrshire will be on a reduced timetable on the day of Her Majesty the Queen’s funeral.
Travel firm Stagecoach West Scotland has confirmed it will operate a Sunday service across the region as the country mourns the death of its longest-serving monarch.
Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral has seen a bank holiday declared on Monday, September 19, with schools off and a number of retail outlets and supermarkets pulling down the shutters.
Stagecoach has taken the decision to scale back on most routes.
Exceptions have been made for some local services where routes will have an ‘enhanced service’.
The main X77 service from Ayr to Glasgow will have an enhanced service along with the X76 between Kilmarnock and Glasgow and the number 11 service between Ardrossan and Kilmarnock.
Service X19 and X25/A will operate from a Sunday timetable.
Routes on the Isle of Arran will operate as a Sunday service with an enhancement for the first CalMac sailing.
Passengers have been advised to check journey times before travelling.
