Stacey Solomon returns to Loose Women after maternity leave and admits 'I'm a mess'

Since October, TV presenter Stacey Solomon has been missing from Loose Women as she's been on maternity leave after giving birth to her first baby girl.

Joining Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha and Judi Love Stacey had a warm welcome back to show as her co-presenters rushed to give her a big hug.

Stacey said that she missed being on the show and her co-presenters "so much" and spoke about how her home birth was "calm" and relaxing as well as her experiences of breastfeeding.

Her baby with partner Joe Swash adorably named Rose Opal Esme Solomon-Swash is her first daughter - she also has sons Zachary, Leighton, and Rex.

She said: "I honestly think it really doesn't matter where you give birth, under what circumstances, I don't think there is a right or a wrong way but I can honestly say that I've never felt so calm and relaxed."

Stacey added: "I didn't think I would ever have a feeling of feeling safe at home until I gave birth to Rose and I didn't just feel safe I actually felt really in control, it's the first time I've ever felt in control of a labour."

The star also revealed that breastfeeding Rose has gone "so much better" than breastfeeding her older children as she had Rose checked for tongue-tie when she was born.

She said: "I think I was much more informed this time, I actually don't think there is enough education or help for women, especially in this country."

Stacey also admitted that her renovations at her home Pickle Cottage were not finished and her wedding to fiance Joe Swash was not planned.

She said: "I'm a mess! I think what has happened is I've into a state of mind where I'm like everything will be fine and we are already in March. It has only just been Christmas, I am nowhere near finished the house."

Fans were also excited to see Stacey back at the show with one person tweeting: "Don't normally watch #LooseWomen but it's good to see @StaceySolomon back she's glowing."

Another added: "Welcome back stacey I have missed you so much nice to be back on the loose women panel from Kelly see you at 12.30"

And: "I'm absolutely loving today's panel I needed that laugh glad to have you back Stacey luv and ladies you are cracking me up today."

Loose Women airs every weekday at 12.30pm on ITV.
