A 15-year-old is in the critical condition in hospital after a stabbing on the Central Coast overnight.
The teenager had appeared on a stranger's doorstep on Painters Lane with severe wounds about 9.45pm on Friday, August 21, police said in a statement.
The homeowner raised the alarm via Triple-0, summoning police and paramedics to the suburban street just off Terrigal beach.
Brisbane Water officers said the boy was reportedly with a group of several other teenagers when he was stabbed. Investigators have since spoken to a number of teenagers, but said Saturday morning that no arrests have yet been made.
The 15-year-old was seen by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before he was rushed to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition.
Police declared a crime scene and said their investigations were ongoing at the weekend.
They have urged anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone who may have information about the incident, to come forward. Witnesses should contact Gosford police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
