St Mirren are appealing Marcus Fraser's red card.
The Buddies defender was dismissed by referee Matthew McDermid after a tussle with Dundee United's Louis Moult inside the box.
A penalty was awarded and then missed by Kevin Holt, but the Tannadice hosts went on to win 2-0 to solidify their fourth-placed position in the Scottish Premiership.
St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson was furious after the match and hit out at the decision, so it's no surprise that the Paisley club have opted to contest the ordering off.
A club statement on Monday evening read: “St Mirren FC can confirm that we have today submitted an appeal to the Scottish FA disciplinary panel over the red card shown to Marcus Fraser at Saturday's match away to Dundee United.”
“I’ve seen the footage back and if that’s a red card then we are all in trouble because there was minimal contact.
“It was debatable whether it was a penalty. I feel Dundee United didn’t think it was a penalty either.
“So, to have a red card and lose a player because of it is a hard one to take.
“As I say, we are not in control of that. We are not in control of the referee’s decisions or VAR decisions more to the point.
“We can control our final third decisions, we have to be a bit more ruthless in that final third, and that’s the things that we keep working on.”
