A study of nearly 20,000 patients, suffering from a common lung disease called bronchiectasis, has found that the color of the phlegm or sputum can indicate the degree of inflammation in their lungs and predict their future results. The study has been presented at the European Respiratory Society International Congress in Milan, Italy.
