A man has been hospitalised with a 'serious' back injury after being attacked in Springburn on Saturday, May 6.
The 48-year-old victim was seriously assaulted at a footpath on Cowlairs Road at around 1pm. He sustained a back injury and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland are investigating the incident and have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at that time to come forward.

Detective Constable Katrina Keogh said: "A man has sustained a serious injury and it is imperative we trace whoever is responsible.
"I am appealing for anyone with information that may help our investigation to come forward.
"I am also keen to speak with anyone who witnessed this assault or has dash-cam footage that may assist us."
