Spotify Wrapped 2024 is now tantalizingly close. The streaming giant is dropping daily hints on social media, while a recent in-app message promised that the musical recap is "right around the corner". Spotify has even reminded us how to make sure our Wrapped arrives safely.
So whether you've succumbed to the 'Brat summer' hype or the rise of Sabrina Carpenter, your Spotify Wrapped 2024 will soon expose your audio streaming truths. But when exactly will you be able to see Wrapped 2024?
The official date is still under wraps, but after crunching together historical dates from the past few years plus recent rumors, we've stuck our necks out and made our Wrapped release date prediction below.
Further down this page you can also find the latest on when Spotify stops tracking your music listening for its Wrapped roundup, plus our thoughts on what's going to be in this year's edition.
But first, that all-important analysis of when Wrapped 2024 is going to land...
Spotify Wrapped 2024 release date predictions
We think the most likely Spotify Wrapped release date is now Wednesday December 4. This is based on a combination of historical dates (below) and some recent rumors.
For the last four years, Spotify Wrapped has rolled out on a Wednesday. Last year’s Spotify Wrapped 2023 launched on November 29, while the roundup landed on November 30 in 2022 – with both of those falling on the last Wednesday of November.
November 27 passed without a Wrapped roll-out, so that means the next most likely date is December 4. And some new rumors have backed that up. As spotted by some keen-eyed Wrapped fans on Reddit, Spotify Indonesia appears to a Wrapped concert planned for December 5, which adds fuel to that rumored December 4 launch date.
In the past few days, more Spotify fans have taken to Reddit to share posts that have increased the chances of Wrapped 2024 landing on December 4, the first one being a screenshot of a Spotify post with a 'pre-Wrapped checklist'. This post has since been deleted from both Instagram and X (see below).

In a separate post, another user shared a screenshot of an alleged upcoming Wrapped live event on TikTok posted by Spotify France. This included a December 4 date, seemingly announcing the official Spotify Wrapped 2024 launch date.

Out of all the best music streaming services, it seems as though Spotify is always the last to drop its annual music roundup. Just last week on November 21, YouTube Music's 2024 Recap began its roll out which introduced a new 100-track playlist feature that accumulates your top 100 most-listened to songs of the year. Similarly, Apple Music Replay was launched today (December 3), which heightens our suspicions that Spotify Wrapped 2024 could come as soon as December 4.
As you can see in the table below, Spotify has also launched Wrapped on a similar date before – with Spotify Wrapped 2019 landing on December 5 and Wrapped 2018 being released on December 6.
Last year, Spotify took to X (formerly Twitter) the week before Wrapped 2023 was launched – and it's been doing the same in 2024.
A new teaser (below) states that Wrapped is "coming soon" with a separate post similarly whipping up anticipation. But when exactly is 'soon'? Based on the above, our money's on that December 4 date – but there's always a chance Spotify could go rogue with a December 11 launch.

When does Spotify Wrapped stop tracking?
Just like the Wrapped launch dates, Spotify also doesn't officially say when it stops tracking your music for the roundup.
There's previously been speculation on social media forums like Reddit that Spotify stops logging your listening stats for Wrapped at the end of October, or in the middle of November.
The only thing that we end on Halloween is eating candy corn. Stream (and snack) all through the year and we will see you in Wrapped season.October 13, 2022
However, Spotify has never officially commented on this and has been deliberately vague on the matter (see above), so the exact cut-off remains a guessing game.
But recently, Spotify took to X (formerly Twitter) confirming that despite Halloween having come and gone, Spotify Wrapped hasn't stopped counting your listening habits – so there's still time to make sure your favorites make it into your Wrapped roundup.

This means there's no real benefit in changing your listening habits ahead of a rumored date – just listen to your tunes as normal and an accurate reflection of your tastes will be plastered on the front page of the Spotify app soon enough.
How to see your Wrapped 2024 roundup
Spotify's Wrapped roundup is usually available in both the iOS and Android apps, as well as in the Spotify desktop app. Now is a good time to update those apps.
We see no reason why Spotify would mix things up this year – and some new advice from Spotify on how to make sure your Wrapped lands safely appears to back that up.
The main advice is, unsurprisingly, to make sure you version of the app is up to date. To do that, simply:
- Go to Spotify app on either Apple's App Store (if you're on iPhone) or the Google Play Store (for Android fans)
- Check to see if an 'update' button appears
- If it does, update your app to the latest version
- Repeat this process early in the week beginning December 2.
Wrapped usually appears as a splash page in the app (like the one above from last year). On the day, you should see a card titled 'Your 2024 Wrapped' (or something similar), which you can tap to jump into your musical roundup.
During Spotify Wrapped 2023 , it was the 'Sound Town' and 'Me in 2023' features that Spotify subscribers couldn't stop talking about, turning up the dial on Spotify's commitment to the personalized experience – which we've highlighted in our list of Spotify Wrapped 2024 predictions list.
But it won't be long now until we see what treats Spotify's got in store for Wrapped 2024.
What will Spotify Wrapped 2024 look like?
While patiently waiting for our music recap to appear, we recently put together our Spotify Wrapped 2024 predictions, based on some of the most popular features last year.
So far, Spotify has been dangling teasers right before us in the form of mysterious Wrapped logos, and music fans have taken it upon themselves to cast their guesses about the artists that could be significant to this year's Wrapped. From the espresso coffee and cowboy belt buckle graphic to the very obvious nod to the 'Brat green' color, we can expect that at least Sabrina Carpenter, Beyoncé and Charli xcx's names will appear in Wrapped 2024.
If you can cast your mind back to 2023, you might remember a new 'Sound Town' feature, which matched you with a city based on your favorite artists and songs. That geographical twist was a popular on TikTok, so we reckon there's a good chance it'll return this year.
We also saw Spotify lean harder into its personality profiling, with the 'Me in 2023' segment grouping listeners you into one of several profiles based on their your listening habits. While it may have been a bit Myers Briggs for some, we can expect Spotify to again attempt to put us into 'shape shifter' or 'time traveler' boxes.
A more appealing feature for many will be the return of artist video messages, which are sent to only the most dedicated, top 1% of listeners. That will almost certainly return in 2024, with Spotify keen to also push merch, tickets, and more for artists – which is fine by us, given how much money in music tends to be gobbled by middle men.
Speaking of the most-streamed artists, just yesterday (December 3) Spotify uploaded another visual teaser to its Instagram story depicting a bunch of cascading friendship bracelet charms. If you've been out of the loop, friendship bracelets have become synonymous with the Swiftie fandom, which makes us believe that Taylor Swift will be announced as the most-streamed artist of 2024 for another year running.
The only question is whether you've been a dedicated enough listener to get that souvenir artist message – best hit play on that album one more time to be sure.
