Spotify karaoke and Icebergify: Ways to access the new features and what they are

Listening to music is something that everyone loves and although we may have our own taste when it comes to the bands and solo artists we enjoy, one thing we have in common is our shared love for Spotify.

Each year many of us look forward to Spotify Wrapped where we discover who we played the most this year. And it's always interesting to see what others played this year too as we compare our playlists against each others.

Just a few weeks ago Spotify Pie was trending. But now two new features have landed - and people are once again obsessed.

So what are the two new features and how can you access them? Here's everything you need to know.

What is Spotify Icebergify and how do you access the new feature?

Spotify's Icebergify is another way of seeing what music you listen to the most as well as your least favourite artists. And as the name suggests, it comes in the form of an iceberg.

This new feature allows users to collect data from your top 50 artists in your short-term, medium-term, and long-term listening trends. It then looks at those top artists and organises them by their popularity or obscurity, and then pops them into an iceberg category.

In order to access the feature, simply visit icebergify.com and allow the website access to your account. When doing this, it asks users that if granted permission, the app will be able to view your top artists and content. It will also be able to see your name and username, your profile picture, how many followers you have on Spotify and your public playlists.

The website warns that you may need to try a few times to access the results explaining: "Icebergify is adapting to our increased traffic. If you've already logged in, try to keep refreshing the site until the iceberg shows up. If that doesn't work, try clearing your cookies and site data for icebergify.com, or try a different device."

What is Spotify Karaoke and how do you access the new feature?

At some point we've all taken part in a bit of karaoke here and there. And whilst we may not have the voice of Harry Styles or Freddie Mercury, we can all agree it's still fun to do.

For some this feature may not be available yet however Mashable says in order to access it, "go to the top right-hand side of the Lyrics section, select the "Sing" icon, with the microphone next to it. Once you get here, lyrics will appear on the screen and so will an audio analyzer. The new mode uses your device's microphone to listen to your voice and ultimately provide an accuracy score out of 100, depending on how well you've done, kind of like SingStar used to on PlayStation."
