Spooky picture of 'ghost' captured by freaked out tourist at Edinburgh vaults

A freaked out tourist believes she may have pictured a ghost in a series of eery images taken at vaults in Edinburgh.

Zoe Thomson was visiting the spooky tourist attraction hidden under South Bridge in the capital's Old Town when she reckons she witnessed some paranormal activity.

The mum-of-three took a number of snaps of the historic underground passages to remember the experience while on the Auld Reekie Tour.

However, while looking back through the images she noticed a peculiar bright white shape dominating a number of photographs in a room where witches used to gather, reports Edinburgh Live.

The pictures were taken at one of Edinburgh's last active Wiccan covens which stop practising around 2014, the Blue Dragon Coven.

The unnerving room has shelves with dusty old potions and ingredients with a Pentagram on the wall and a circle of red velvet seats.

It was in this room the mum-of-three felt strange, like somebody was "following her around".

Zoe, 30, said: "I first went two years ago when I was pregnant but I had to leave because I felt faint and ill.

"So I returned last year with a family member and decided to take a few pictures and this is what I captured.

"The reason I shared something now is because I was watching something on telly and noticed a similar image to what I had and really wanted some feedback to see if anyone knew what it could be.

"I felt a little dizzy and could feel like a static feeling but that was all.

"I was looking at the pictures closely and I’ve realised that The first two pictures I was in the vaults and the last one was a different room.

"I kinda freaked out there because it looks like I being followed or something like it was moving around.

"I just find it all very interesting and the pictures I captured I can’t explain.

"The experience was brilliant and I would highly recommend anyone considering going on a tour I would definitely be going back soon."
