SPFL make VAR sponsor promise to cash strapped clubs as bosses 'increasingly confident' vote will pass

The SPFL have vowed to look for a sponsor for VAR in order to cut the cost for clubs, according to a report.

All 42 senior sides are set to cast their vote on introducing the technology in a landmark ballot on April 19.

A 'yes' vote would give the green light for the system to be introduced in the Premiership and latter stages of the Premier Sports Cup following the Qatar World Cup in late 2022.
