The cost of living crisis is forcing people to take a closer look at their finances to cut as much off their outgoings as possible in order to stay on top of rising energy bills and soaring inflation rates. One way millions of people may be able to slash their bills is to choose a ‘social tariff’ broadband package.
Sky Broadband Basics costs £20 per month and could be a way to save money if you’re struggling to pay your Sky Broadband bills, but want to stay connected. If you don’t already have a Sky broadband package, there’s the option of NOW Broadband Basics for £20 each month too.
The 18-month contract is available to people claiming Universal Credit or Pension Credit and includes Sky Broadband Superfast 35 with an average download speed of 36Mb/s, but if that’s not available where you live, Sky Broadband Essential Plus with average download speeds of 11Mb/s is also an option. More than 5.5 million people currently claim Universal Credit and 1.4 million older people receive support through Pension Credit could be eligible for the £20 package.
