Irish tourists jetting off to Spain have been warned as the country has been ravaged by extreme weather events.
Parts of Spain have been hit by thunderstorms and heavy rain as a number of weather warnings have been issued by the Spanish meteorology agency, AMETE. Thundery downpours have also resulted in flash flooding in many popular holiday destinations.
Some places were hit by 87mm of rainfall in just one hour. You can check if a weather warning was issued for your destination on the AEMET website.
