Southwark: Man charged with four murders after horror in Bermondsey

A man has been charged with murder after four family members were stabbed to death in Bermondsey.

Joshua Jacques, 28, will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with the murder of Dolet Hill, 64, Denton Burke, 58, Tanysha Ofori-Akuffo, 45, and Samantha Drummonds, 27.

Police were called to a disturbance at the family’s three-bedroom terraced home in Delaford Road, Bermondsey, south east London at 1.40am on Monday.

Armed officers smashed down the door and discovered the bodies.

Jacques was charged on Thursday following an investigation by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
