Southampton launch £25m record bid for Armando Broja as Chelsea duo make contract stance clear

As per Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Southampton will launch a record £25m for Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Broja, who is on loan at St Mary's for the season, has impressed on the south coast and is doing his opportunities of a permanent move no harm at all.

Sule to Chelsea round-up

Whilst there's been a lot of focus on Chelsea's search for a wing-back this window, what's been less of a priority, but something that is certainly in the back of Thomas Tuchel's mind, is their need for new centre-backs.

Sevilla's Jules Kounde continues to be linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but Bayern Munich's Niklas Sule has also emerged as a likely target.

Defensive duo make contract stance known

Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen have reportedly made decisions on their immediate futures at Stamford Bridge.

The duo, as well as defender Antonio Rudiger, all have less than six months remaining on their contracts and are free to negotiate with foreign clubs this January.

Whilst Azpilicueta and Christensen continue to be involved in Thomas Tuchel's immediate set-up, the situation is worrying, and there have now been further updates on their respective contract stances.
