South London bus flasher hunted by police as detectives issue CCTV appeal

Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a young woman on a bus in south-east London.

The incident happened around 5.20am on Saturday, May 6, on a Route 136 service.

The bus had just left New Cross Gate Fire Station and was heading towards Elephant and Castle when a man allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in front of a young woman.

On Tuesday, more than four-and-a-half months after the incident, Scotland Yard released an image of a man they want to identify.

Det Supt Ross Morrell said: “This was a very unpleasant incident and the young woman involved was understandably left very shaken.

“We are very keen to speak to the man pictured and urge anyone who can identify him to call police immediately.”
