South Korean actor Song Jae-rim has been found dead at the age of 39.
The star, known for his roles in South Korean TV dramas The Moon Embracing the Sun and Two Weeks, was found dead in his apartment in Seoul.
Officer have said there were no signs of foul play and confirmed that an investigation into his death has begun.
It has been reported that his family have been informed and have scheduled a funeral to take place later this week.
Jae-rim began his career as a runway model, walking the catwalk for designers such as of Juun J, Herin Homme and Ha Sang Beg. He also featured in magazines including Esquire Korea, GQ Korea and Bazaar Korea.
He made his big screen debut in the South Korean film Actresses in 2009.
He then landed a string of notable parts, with parts in The Moon Embracing the Sun, Queen Woo and Unkind Ladies.
Jae-rim has also appeared in a number of K-pop music vides for the likes of 2NE1 and KARA.
Fans have shared tributes online, with one writing on X: “He was SO smiley and seems to be a celebrity without any care in the world.”
“The kindest man ever,” wrote another. “Rest In Love, SongJae Rim. You must to know that everyone really loves you so much.”
A third added: “Heartbreaking. My thoughts go out to his family during this difficult time. He brought so much to each role [...] His talent will be missed.”
