When I started setting up my smart home a decade ago, I went with Philips. It had the best product range at the time, and its LED lights were reliable, easy to control, and had a lot of cool effects and scenes. Then came Yeelight, and while its lights and light strips didn't quite have the same reliability, they were significantly more affordable.
