Solo dev livestreams the moment his wife learns his 4-year indie project made $600k on Steam in just one month: "She didn't think it would be this much"

Cakez winces as his wife embraces him.

For four years, the developer known as Cakez toiled on a tower defense game called Tangy TD. He livestreamed his entire game dev journey, and after the game launched, clips of Cakez and his wife reacting to the title's success soon went viral. After a month, those successes have compounded into something astronomical – as shown by a delightful new clip where Cakez reveals to his partner that the game's made well over $600,000.

Cakez set up the moment for viewers in a recent stream, challenging his wife to guess how much money Tangy TD had earned in a month on Steam. As she offers guesses in German, Cakez translates that she "thinks $400k." A moment later, he adds with a laugh, "Do you hear this? 'More!' Guys, she is greedy."
