Famed private members club Soho House has shared new details about its opening in Manchester city centre - which will be the first site in the north for the celebrity-favourite venue. The Manchester Soho House is fast taking shape inside the iconic former Granada Studios building off Quay Street.
Bosses have confirmed that the members' club will be spread across the top two floors of the building. That will comprise the rooftop pool and outdoor terrace perfect for soaking up the legendary Manchester sunshine.
Meanwhile in images released today, there will be an extensive private members' gym on the first floor. It will include a huge free weights area, boxing zone, studios, steam rooms and sauna.

The remaining floors of the building are being converted into Soho House hotel bedrooms as well as members' events spaces for entertaining, conferences and private events. The club had originally been earmarked to open in late 2022, but work continues apace on the development with the aim to open in 2023 - but bosses are refusing to give a more precise date than that.
A statement from the company released today said: "Located within the former Granada Studios in the heart of the city, Soho House Manchester will have various spaces for members to eat, drink, socialise and work out. The redevelopment of the iconic building will comprise of a members’ club on the top two floors, overlooking a rooftop pool and outdoor terrace.
"On the first floor, an extensive members’ gym will include a free weights area, boxing zone, studio space, steam, sauna and an outdoor terrace. Changing rooms will have showers, vanity areas and lounge spaces for members to unwind after training.
"Across the remaining floors there will be members’ events spaces and bedrooms."
After sharing the new images on its instagram page, there were plenty of excited comments from people in the city. They ranged from: "looks amazing" to "Manchester here we come".
Memberships for the new Soho House have not yet opened, and prices are yet to be released. But anyone interested in becoming a member and for further updates can now register on the Soho House website.
The group already has 38 clubs around the world, the first being London, before expanding to cities including New York, Berlin, Barcelona, Istanbul and Mumbai and with forthcoming openings planned in Mexico City, Bangkok and Miami.
Soho House owner Nick Jones was quizzed on the opening by the MEN last year when he spoke at the Northern Restaurant and Bar conference. Asked whether he was ever concerned about diluting the brand by opening further locations, he added: “That’s a question I ask myself. But what members love, when you ask them, is new houses.
"So as long as with every house we put more effort in than the last one, try and make it even better than before, then hopefully that’s not diluting anything.”
