Social Security payments October 2026: October has an unusual feature in the Social Security calendar. Most beneficiaries will see their regular payments arrive on one of three Wednesdays, while people receiving Supplemental Security Income will see two SSI deposits during the month.
That second SSI payment can look like an extra check at first glance. It isn't. The October 30 payment is actually the November benefit, moved forward because November 1 falls on a Sunday.
