The Oklahoma City Thunder avoided disaster when they survived a historic 30-0 run by the Dallas Mavericks in their 126-120 win on Saturday.
After entering the fourth quarter with a 107-84 lead, OKC quickly lost its lead when the Mavericks went on a franchise-best 30-0 run to retake the lead.
After trailing by six points, the Thunder finished the game on their own 17-8 run to close out the victory and avoid blowing a 24-point lead.
It was an evenly-distributed offensive night for the Thunder as eight players scored double-digit points with nobody scoring more than 23 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was limited to 17 points, nine assists and five steals.
Let’s look at some of the best reactions on X, formerly known as Twitter, from the Thunder flirting with a historic loss.

I can’t believe the Thunder allowed a 30-0 run to happen and still won the game
Not sure if it’s ever happened before
But I’m calling it history
The Thunder just made history
