Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said his team are up for a title fight in the Premier League, although he has conceded Liverpool are "so tough" to beat.
The Reds went temporarily top of the table on Saturday after a routine 2-0 home win over Watford at lunchtime, although City moved to the summit again with a 2-0 victory against Burnley later in the day.
In recent weeks, Liverpool have surged back into contention, winning 10 top-flight games in a row. They also have the chance to leapfrog the defending champions next week, when they visit the Etihad Stadium to take on City.
