THE SNP have called for a wealth fund to be created from taxes levied on North Sea oil and gas.
Delegates at the SNP conference on Friday backed a motion tabled by Energy Minister Stephen Gethins calling for a “Future Generations Fund that will grow Scotland’s renewables industry, support the communities who have generated hundreds of billions of pounds in taxation for Westminster, and strengthen the supply chain to ensure ongoing investment and job creation in Scotland”.
