A 16-year-old British snowboarder, who was too young to compete at the Winter Olympics last year, has made history by winning her country’s first snowboard slopestyle world title with an extraordinary display of trickery and poise.
Mia Brookes, who learned to snowboard at 18 months while travelling around Europe in her family’s motorhome, earned victory in style as she became the first woman to perform a CAB 1440 double grab in competition on her winning run.
