Wintry showers could hit Merseyside this month as temperatures look set to drop.
Latest information from WXCharts shows a freezing front travelling from the north west next Tuesday, with major cities forecasted to be affected by lying snow. Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen could see some flurries, according to the forecast.
The Mirror reports, up to 2cm of snow an hour is forecast to fall in the most affected places. Despite this, over the weekend temperatures are set to remain mild in Liverpool.

The Met Office reports that today, Friday, February 3, there is the potential for highs of 11C with some brighter spells developing in the afternoon. Into the evening cloud will move in but it will stay largely dry, though some drizzly rain returning overnight.
The outlook for the weekend is another cloudy day with some light winds on Saturday. But there may be some overnight frost leading to a colder day on Sunday.
Forecasters say it'll be another frosty start to Monday but another clear, sunny day. Then it will be cloudier on Tuesday with a spot of rain possible.
